Reviews and Ratings
The hotel was not as cute and quaint as advertised, lacking the nautical theme promised. However, the rooms were clean with crisp linens, conveniently close to dining and sightseeing spots. Staying in the room with windows closed was tranquil, but opening them made me feel part of the lively downtown scene with a refreshing ocean breeze.
I had a mixed experience at Casa Madrona. While the hotel overlooks the harbor and offers a convenient location surrounded by shops and restaurants, the rooms lacked historic charm and cleanliness, with an unpleasant surprise of finding a large piece of poop on the side of the toilet. The service, though mostly attentive and friendly, had a dismissive attitude towards some requests. The dining options were standard, and the facilities were sufficient.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered a beautiful water view, the noise from the electrical equipment on the roof was disturbing. The service was top-notch, with friendly and accommodating staff that truly made me feel at home away from home. The location was excellent for exploring Sausalito and its attractions, but there were some security concerns. The dining experience, especially at Trattoria Poggio, was fantastic, but having Spanish food available would be a nice addition.
